Intel’s first hexa-core proces­sor for desk­top mar­ket which will be known as Core i7-980X is expected to arrive in March or April, but the liv­ing leg­end the over­clocker Andre Yang has already grabbed one sam­ple and cre­ated sev­eral 3DMark Van­tage world records with it.

With a Core i7-980X CPU clocked at 5.9GHz, together with four Radeon HD 5870 graph­ics card, Andre Yang brought the per­for­mance to a brand-new level.

Since the proces­sor hasn’t been released yet, the results were removed by Future­Mark soon. However, we can still tell that the chip promises great over­clock­ing capabilities.
