Tips [Windows XP] DX10 running in XP, is it possible ?

Everyone known that Microsoft DirectX 10 API have exclusive feature only in both Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit edition. API or Application programming interface consist from so many function for programming  such DirectDraw, Direct3D, DirectPlay and so on. From what i was reading in many forum, many user has rejected moving to Vista. Most the reason is hardware requirement, driver and software compatibilities problem. One reviewer site PCSTATS.COM have a polling from almost 45,000 responder  and the result is very upset.

PCSTATS asked its readers an important question – with the arrival of Microsoft Windows Vista, is it better to stay put with Windows XP, or upgrade?
Overwhelmingly you answered – Do Nothing, WinXP Still Works!! (51.03%)
The rest answered along these lines:
Tried Vista, But I went Back To XP (23.35%)
Upgraded to Vista Ultimate and am happy (10.20%)
Upgraded to Vista Home Premium and I’m happy (7.75%)
I’ll Try Vista Out, Then Decide (6.07%)
Upgraded to Vista Home Basic and I’m happy (1.61%)

What must i say from these people choosing ? :mrgreen:

One Russian gamer site have success modification such dynamic link library (dll) from direct3d10.dll those he found works with XP system. I know this is not Microsoft official library released for public and they don’t give guarantee will works with your system. But somehow, what they want only to try helping a people with ‘old’ or limited  system to earn directX 10 capabilities in their system. DirectX 10 patch only working with windows XP only nothing happen with windows 2000 sp4 or else. These is my screenshut my old system with XP SP1 after pacthing.

I can’t give you a clue that these patching work with all DirectX 10 game without an issue but some user said they can playing game such likes Devil May Cry 4, FarCry2, Crysis II and so on. In necessary i only want to sharing these in my blog and for the readers who want to tryout some experiment your self or you wanna sharing with me, you can download the binaries here (please use 7z extractor), and for changer tools mode between dx9 or dx10 grab it here.

For uninstallation or totaly removing these patch from your system

* First, find the System32 folder
* Then find a file and remove it d3d10.dll
* Regedit then run Regedit
* come here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft DirectX
* and changing the so-Version “=” 4.09.00.0904
* Restarts.
* You removed the DirectX 10 …
